To Glidecam or not to Glidecam??

Okay.  I'm sure that if you are reading this you had spent hours on the internet looking for ways to stabilize your filming.  I looked at all the YouTube videos about how to make a homemade camera stabilizer.  I was the guy in Home Depot buying short lengths of threaded pipe to complete my very first "glidecam."

Guess what??

They didn't work.  Yeah, they helped a little bit, if you still don't mind getting seasick watching my first attempts.  So what to do next.  Well, beg and plead with my significant other to spend the few hundred bucks on an actual Glidecam.  Was it worth it??  Yes.  Definitely.  Awesome quality and design for a reasonable price.

Check out my YouTube page if you get a chance at www.youtube.com/bayerdv82.  I will be adding more videos of how to setup the Glidecam, my equipment (which is very basic) and the most important part, doing things with my glidecam like running with it, biking, hiking and whatever else I can think of.

By the way, I have never taken any film classes and do not work for Glidecam.  I am just impressed by the equipment and how it has helped me shoot some cool videos.

In the meantime, KEEP FILMING!!
